i think its the fact that McPherson is nice to them and is friends with some of them. i think he just has a connection with the patients. the other nurses are just scared of the patients and aren't trying to help them. McPherson is trying to help the girls ge better.
yeah the nurses seem to come just to laugh at the patients. they are really mean to them because they are sick. its like pushing them when they are already down.
I guess that makes sense, I think McPherson is the only one who doesn't treat them like they are worthless or not human, he treats them like they are in the hospital with a curable disease.
mhmm schizophrenia isn't curable, but since McPherson and Dr. Fried act like it is, all the patients have a dream of curing. It's like now a days, when a doctor knows someone doesn't have a chance at surviving their illness they make the patient as comfortable as possible and have htem believe in themselves to live.
well they can't be 100% curable but they are better in the end. i don't think any one can be 100% curable from any sickness they have mentally. everyone wants to be 100% better but you really can't because you can always fall back into it
you can't be 100% curable from a mental illness. A lot of patients think they are 100% curable and stop taking their meds, but in reality they just end up getting worse.
yeah and i think deborah learns that when she is trying to get a job. she feels better and that she is learning and picking earth but when she has to go though the whole procces of high school or not she gets upset and repacked in the D ward. its a set back but she learned that she is never 100%.
