i think she has always known that there was something wrong. ever since the surgery she has known that she isn't the same. i think she wants to be normal but at the same time she doesn't know how. even with all the help she still is lost.
yeah she knows something is wrong, but shes trying so hard to be normal, I feel like she is convincing herself she is normal. Some points in the book it seems like she really wants to leave, but at other parts it seems like she wants to stay.
i think she doesn't know what she wants. she knows Yr is really and she wont be told different but at the same time she wants to be better. but when all the girls went crazy about talking about being better it makes me feel like they dont want to be better.
i think the doctors are trying but they feel as if they wont be able to help these patients becasue they don't know how. they look at this sickness and don't know what to do with it. they just put these girls locked away so they world doesn't have to worry about them.
I don't think Deborah thinks she is as crazy as she actually. She can't think she is totally normal; because then she would question why she isn't living at home with her parents. I agree with Gianna, I think Deborah is trying to convince herself that she is normal and its everyone else that isn't.
she has to realize that the only way she'll be normal is if she betrays the "gods" and lets go of Yr. She probably still questions what normal really is, like Gina says her mind might think her brain is telling her she is normal and everyone else isn't.

It was hard for her to pick Earth over Yr. but i think now she realizes it was the right choice and that everything will be okay. She doesn't have to let go of Yr. all at once, she has time to leave it behind.
she does have time but i think she is pushing it so she can have a normal life. she wants to graduate from high school and she wants to get a job in the real world. she does talk about how she will never have a normal relationship with humans but i think that maybe some day she will.
