I think that Hobbs killed himself because he had a mental illness just like all of the other patients at the hospital. Being around all of the other patients and seeing them struggle to get better and some giving in to their illness started to get to him. If I was feeling trapped in my mind and everyone around me was too, but could not fix it, I think I would lose hope and give up too.
i feel like the patients are now trying to make the nurses crazy because they know Hobbs killed himself. they are trying to act sick and crazy. but i think that Ellis isn't sick i just think they want someone new to pick on.
Yeah it seems like the patients are acting sicker than they really are. Like when little kids fake sicker than they really are because they want to stay home from school
but don't they want to get better? or is this just a fun place they all want to stay. they did all flip that one day they all talked about leaving to go the real world.
I think part of them wants to leave and get better, but another part wants to stay in the hospital forever. I think they like all the attention they are getting in the hospital.
i think that too! they want to stay together because they are scared of anything different. they don't want to change and be different becasue they aren't sure what will happen
and they've been in the hospital so long it is hard to face the real world. Like when Deborah ia finally released and needs to find a job, she can't get one because she never finished highschool. she didn't want to go back to school though since she was 19. sometimes its hard finding alternate ways. but Deborah did and got her GED :D
but she also had to go through some hard things to get there, but she relized that when you fall down you learn from it and that helps you succeed next time.
